Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and ambitious Residential Deputy Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Home Manager and Registered Manager in providing leadership and direction to our residential care services.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Home Manager and Registered Manager in providing leadership and direction to the residential care team.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the home in the absence of the Home Manager and Registered Manager.
- Ensure that all recording systems and organizational documentation are up-to-date and of a high standard.
- Support the manager with staff supervision, appraisals, and team meetings.
- Oversee the duty rota and ensure that the correct skills and numbers are on duty.
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the individuals we support.
- Experience as an acting Home Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's home.
- Two years' recent experience in children's/young people's residential care.
- Proficiency in working with young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties and a strong grasp of therapeutic strategies.
- Sound knowledge of relevant Looked After Children (LAC) procedures.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent, or actively pursuing this qualification.
- Full manual driver's license.
