The NHS Staffordshire & Stoke On Trent Integrated Care Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Senior Transformation Lead - Palliative Care and End of Life. This is a senior role that requires strong leadership and strategic thinking to drive transformation in palliative care and end of life services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the Integrated Care Board, working in collaboration with partners across the system to ensure accessible, high-quality, safe palliative and end of life care is available for adults, children, and young people.
- Lead, coordinate, and project manage the implementation of strategies and policies to improve palliative care and end of life services.
- Undertake partnership working with statutory and non-statutory partners to redesign, modernize, and improve services.
- Coproduce plans with people with lived experience and partners to improve outcomes and experience for patients and their carers.
- Communicate effectively with partners at all levels of the system, both internally and externally.
- Oversee and deliver the Palliative Care and End of Life transformation plans for the system, reporting to the programme board on a regular basis to inform on progress and management of risk.
The NHS Staffordshire & Stoke On Trent Integrated Care Board is responsible for planning functions, managing the NHS budget, and arranging the provision of health services in the geographical area. - Excellent writing skills, including the ability to summarise information and key issues.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft office packages.
- Ability to work without supervision, providing specialist advice to the organisation.
- Ability to use initiative to decide relevant actions and make recommendations to the Sponsor/Manager.
- Effective organiser and personal qualities reflecting the ICB values.
- Willingness to engage with and learn from peers, other professionals, and colleagues.
- Ability to meet the travel requirements of the post.
- Educated to Masters level or have equivalent experience working at a senior level in service transformation/commissioning.
- Evidence of post-qualification and continuing professional development.
