Position Overview:

We are seeking Accuracy Checking Technicians (ACTs) to enhance our dynamic Pharmacy team, delivering exceptional services to our clients, patients, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and advocate for relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies to ensure patient safety at all times.
  • Thoroughly verify all details on dispensed patient orders to identify and rectify any discrepancies before the orders leave the pharmacy's responsibility.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow dispensing team members to ensure the pharmacy operates efficiently and safely.
  • Stay informed and comply with all communications from the head office and other relevant parties to ensure necessary actions are taken for the pharmacy and its customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Fulfill any reasonable requests from authorized personnel.
  • Contribute to HealthNet's dedication to continuous improvement by sharing your suggestions with the appropriate individuals.
  • Proactively assist in other departments that may require additional support during peak times.

Desired Experience and Skills:

Preferred:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a pharmacy environment.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ3 Accuracy Checking Technician certification.
  • Must hold registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC).

Essential Competencies:

  • Proficient in delivering precise, expert knowledge regarding the accurate dispensing of medications.
  • Ability to foster strong, collaborative relationships within the Pharmacy team, motivating colleagues to uphold high standards of care for our customers and patients.
