Quality Control Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Control Specialist to join our team at International Procurement & Logistics. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to advance their career within a global organization with significant turnover.
Shift: 4 on 4 off, 7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am (rotating days and nights)
Your key responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Perform inbound and outbound quality assessments
- Report any quality concerns to the line manager or Operations Leaders
- Oversee shelf-life evaluations; document findings and address any discrepancies
- Facilitate communication with Operations to ensure seamless product flow on site
- Provide assistance to other departments with staffing needs as required
- Support BRC initiatives, including traceability exercises
- Act as a substitute for the QA Leader during their absence
- Proficient IT skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Prior experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing or fresh produce setting
- Basic Food Hygiene Certification
- A natural communicator and effective team player
- Familiarity with fresh produce (preferred)
- Knowledge of HACCP and BRC standards (preferred)
