Menzies Distribution Limited is in search of a dedicated and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the efficiency of our operational processes. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy of stock management and data entry, while adhering to all operational protocols and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will possess the capability to drive improvements and implement effective changes.
As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with all legislative and regulatory standards, while upholding the highest levels of health and safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with clients, suppliers, and transportation teams to plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, assembly, and dispatch of products.
- Utilizing space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently to meet quality and budgetary objectives.
- Overseeing the use of automated and computerized systems as required.
- Ensuring a safe working environment that aligns with the company's health and safety policies.
- Implementing effective environmental control measures.
- Managing and controlling operational costs efficiently.
- Leading, supporting, and developing the operational team through continuous improvement and proactive communication.
- Fostering a collaborative and people-focused team environment.
- Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, ensuring all training and inductions are completed and documented.
- Ensuring adherence to the business's key operational standards.
- Establishing, monitoring, and maintaining performance metrics for all warehouse activities.
- Building and nurturing effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Reviewing and enhancing operational practices in line with established procedures.
- Managing day-to-day operations and special projects through a continuous improvement approach.
- Communicating effectively within the organization through reports and KPI data.
- Ensuring the efficient delivery and implementation of all operational requirements.
- Facilitating regular operational meetings to communicate objectives and performance metrics.
- Working towards KPIs and objectives established with clients, while considering any special projects.
