Menzies Distribution is seeking a highly skilled Inventory Manager to join our team at our Normanton depot. This role is responsible for managing and supporting an effective operational process, ensuring accurate integrity of customer and supplier stock and data input. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that all operational processes and compliances are adhered to, supporting the movement of over 15,000 pallets per week.

The details:

Shift: Monday to Friday, 10AM - 7PM

Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Location: Normanton, WF6

Full-time, permanent

Salary: £25,882.48 p/a

Key responsibilities:

  • Report issues with stock and maintain accurate recordings
  • Maintenance and management of WMS
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly stock takes, adhering to customer and control procedures
  • Wastage reporting
  • Maintain a safe working environment, complying with all aspects of the company's H&S policies
  • Operation of MHE
  • Pallet control and perpetual inventory
  • Strong system control, ensuring adjustments are fully understood and reported
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring that staff deal with all stock queries quickly and efficiently

  • Experience of stock systems
  • High level of accuracy and numeracy
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • HACCP and BRGCS awareness
