Mechanical Inspection Specialist

We are seeking 4-5 skilled aerospace mechanical inspectors to engage in a project focused on quality assurance within the aerospace industry. The role involves thorough inspection of components until the supplier demonstrates consistent improvement and a reduction in identified issues.

Compensation: £27 per hour
Overtime Rate: £40.50 per hour
Standard Work Hours: 37 hours per week

Position Overview:


The quality inspector will operate on-site at a supplier's facility, conducting both visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured aerospace parts.

Inspections will be carried out according to engineering specifications, customer purchase orders, and relevant industry standards.
The inspector will be responsible for reporting inspection results directly to the client through a designated web application.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess experience with Airbus engineering drawings and associated specifications.

Additionally, practical experience in performing in-process and final inspections on intricate machined parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies is essential.

Inspections will adhere to engineering requirements as outlined by ANSI Y1- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standards.

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and purchase orders.
Experience with various mechanical inspection tools, including micrometers and calipers, is required.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in inspections within the aerospace or military/defense manufacturing sectors, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Candidates should be technologically adept and possess a laptop for this role.
Note: This position will operate under IR35 regulations via an umbrella company.
