Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to become an integral part of our operations team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Responsible Pharmacist, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Adhere to and advocate for relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
  • Conduct clinical assessments of prescriptions to confirm their suitability for patients.
  • Provide guidance and support to patients via telephone, email, or in-person consultations.
  • Document interventions in the electronic patient record as per established SOPs.
  • Comprehend pharmacovigilance regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Perform final accuracy checks efficiently and precisely when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and procedural requirements within the pharmacy operation.
  • Supervise the pharmacy team professionally.
  • Offer mentorship and advice to pharmacy colleagues to enhance skills and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct pharmacy audits as required.
  • Assist the Pharmacy Superintendent and Pharmacy Operations Manager in refining SOPs and improving HealthNet's Pharmacy Homecare Service.
  • Foster and maintain effective working relationships with prescribers, pharmacists, and nursing staff, taking professional responsibility for service development.
  • Provide expert advice on medications to the nursing team at HealthNet.
  • Complete any reasonable tasks assigned by appropriate personnel.

Experience and Skills Required

Desirable

  • Postgraduate diploma in Clinical Pharmacy.

Essential

  • Experience in a Homecare Pharmacy environment (preferred).
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with strong written and verbal skills.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.

Qualifications

  • MPharm Degree or equivalent qualification meeting the criteria for initial registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
