Position Overview:
An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a dedicated Clinical Associate Specialist to join a prestigious healthcare service. This role is situated within a state-of-the-art low secure hospital, renowned for its commitment to providing tailored assessment and recovery-focused treatment pathways, particularly for women with intricate care requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and facilitating the admission process for new patients.
- Gathering comprehensive histories from family members and other professionals.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to formulate accurate diagnoses.
- Performing physical health evaluations and closely collaborating with General Practitioners and Physical Health Nurses to enhance patient wellbeing.
- Drafting discharge letters, reports, and SOAD forms.
- Supporting the effective implementation of the Care Programme Approach and treatment plans for service users.
- Working in conjunction with the Pharmacist to ensure safe and evidence-based prescribing practices.
- Engaging with external professionals and collaborating with commissioners and care teams to facilitate smooth transitions to community settings.
- Contributing to service enhancement through participation in Clinical Governance activities, quality initiatives, audits, research, and educational efforts.
- Providing leadership to the clinical team under the guidance of the Consultant and preparing reports for First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearings.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in psychiatric settings within multidisciplinary teams.
- Good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Completion of an Appraisal/RITA within the past year.
- A minimum of three years' experience in Psychiatry.
- Prior experience as a physician in a comparable environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
The successful Clinical Associate Specialist will be offered a competitive salary ranging from £80,000 to £90,000 annually. This permanent full-time position operates during daytime hours. In recognition of your dedication and hard work, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including:
