Key Responsibilities- Responsible Pharmacist: Ensure correct records are maintained and follow relevant SOPs and Company policy and procedure.
- Clinical Screening: Conduct thorough clinical screening of prescriptions to ensure appropriateness for the patient.
- Medication Counselling: Provide expert counselling and advice to patients via various channels as required.
- Electronic Patient Record: Record interventions made on the electronic patient record as required by relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
- Pharmacovigilance: Understand and comply with pharmacovigilance regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Accuracy Checking: Undertake final accuracy checking efficiently and accurately when required.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the Healthnet Homecare pharmacy operation meets all regulatory, contractual, agreed procedural, and external service requirements.
- Team Supervision: Provide professional supervision of the pharmacy team.
- Knowledge Sharing: Provide advice and guidance to pharmacy colleagues to ensure skills and experience are shared and used to the benefit of the pharmacy and individuals.
- Pharmacy Audits: Undertake pharmacy audits as required.
- Service Development: Support the Pharmacy Superintendent and Pharmacy Operations Manager in the development and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures and all other aspects of Healthnet's Pharmacy Homecare Service.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Proactively build and maintain effective working relationships with referring centre prescribers, pharmacists, and nurses, taking professional responsibility for the development and enhancement of services provided.
- Medicine Support: Provide professional support and advice about medicines to Healthnet's nursing team.
- Qualifications: MPharm Degree or equivalent qualification that meets the Criteria for initial registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Registration: Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Experience: Experience in a Homecare Pharmacy setting (advantageous).
- Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with strong written and oral skills, strong judgement skills and decision-making ability.
