We are in search of a Director of Fire Safety Operations to join our team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Fire Safety Team, ensuring that all Trust locations adhere to statutory fire safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement fire safety systems that comply with legal requirements, supported by comprehensive policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the execution of Fire Risk Assessments and deliver training to staff regarding fire safety protocols.
  • Monitor and guide service providers to ensure their fire safety practices align with industry standards and legislation.
  • Provide operational leadership in fire safety and manage technical fire detection systems.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to maintain effective communication regarding fire safety matters.
  • Conduct thorough fire risk assessments and manage identified risks to minimize fire-related hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with fire maintenance across all Trust sites and participate in upgrade processes.
  • Facilitate team meetings and audits, conducting annual reviews of fire safety systems and compliance.
  • Encourage feedback and suggestions from team members to enhance service delivery.
  • Assess and resolve compartmentation issues in collaboration with the Capital Team.
  • Draft and implement departmental procedures and contribute to Trust-wide policies.
  • Respond to inquiries and concerns raised by external agencies or the public regarding fire safety.
  • Participate in Trust committees, providing reports related to the Fire Safety department.
  • Identify and communicate resource challenges affecting training and performance.
