We are seeking an experienced Safety Engineering Manager to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Joint Design Authority, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Interface with Key Safety Functional (KSF) areas to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of our work.
- Review concessions and design changes for potential impacts to safety and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Represent the Joint Design Authority at the Technical Authority Safety Working Group (TASWG) and Platform & Secondary Propulsion Change Management Committee (PSPCMC).
- Manage the Joint Design Authority Hazard management Process and lead the Hazard Risk Management Working Group (HRMWG) and the Federated Safety Working Party (FSWP).
- Coordinate with Build Assurance Safety Manager to monitor the progression of Platform build and associated plans.
- Proven stakeholder management skills and experience working with senior board levels.
- Hold a degree in a STEM subject.
- Background in safety management.
- Line management experience.
