European Events Sales Executive

Citywire is on the lookout for a skilled European Events Sales Executive to enhance our vibrant sales team. In this engaging position, you will have the opportunity to travel extensively throughout Europe, representing Citywire at our premier events while cultivating robust relationships with both existing and prospective clients.

With over 100 events hosted annually, ranging from brief forums and roundtable discussions to extensive retreat-style conferences, our gatherings unite asset management firms with targeted investor audiences in their essential markets.

As a key player in the role of European Events Sales Executive, you will be instrumental in broadening Citywire's events clientele and strengthening our partnerships with sponsors. This dynamic sales position is ideal for motivated and ambitious individuals who excel at building connections and seeking new avenues for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate the advantages of Citywire events to both new and current sponsors.
  • Expand Citywire's events clientele across Europe, ensuring a diverse representation of asset managers and funds at our conferences.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities and collaborations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee and enhance existing client accounts with established commercial partners.
  • Collaborate individually and as part of a team to achieve and surpass revenue targets for specific events and markets.
  • Maintain regular engagement with event sponsors through in-person meetings, calls, and emails.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the European asset management sector to enrich client discussions.
  • Represent the Citywire sales team at European events, engaging directly with sponsor representatives.
  • Work closely with fellow sales team members and possess a thorough understanding of all Citywire products to facilitate client discussions.
  • Foster excellent relationships with teams from other Citywire departments, including event management and audience development.

Qualifications:

  • Industry Experience: Proven sales experience, preferably in event sales, with knowledge of the asset management sector or a willingness to learn.
  • Sales Motivation: A natural inclination towards sales and exceptional relationship management abilities.
  • Consultative Approach: Experience in sales and account management with a consultative mindset.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, both client-facing and internally.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently and work outside standard office hours.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational capabilities, attention to detail, and outstanding presentation skills.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Adaptability: A flexible approach and capacity to adjust to evolving business needs.
  • Positive Mindset: A proactive, can-do attitude coupled with resilience and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confidence: The assurance to propose new ideas and concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competence in MS Office and familiarity with utilizing social media platforms for business purposes.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in a European language is advantageous but not mandatory.
