Financial Systems Implementation Manager

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting, as well as experience with financial systems and process and software. The successful candidate will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of a new financial system for the company, ensuring strategic, effective, and efficient use of data and reporting to support the business strategy and deliver business benefits both financial and non-financial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of a new financial system for the company.
  • Ensure strategic, effective, and efficient use of data and reporting to support the business strategy and deliver business benefits both financial and non-financial.
  • Manage and lead both projects and people, and be comfortable influencing stakeholders and taking ownership of the project delivery plan and key milestones.
  • Work with the IT team to ensure that the new financial system is integrated with the rest of the company's systems.
Requirements
  • Strong communication, influencing & negotiation skills to engage stakeholders and manage change.
  • Able to successfully deal with ambiguity and proactively resolve issues while thinking creatively to solve problems.
  • Ideal candidate will ideally demonstrate a qualified accountant background, project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP), or a strong PM background with a well-rounded understanding of financial management processes and systems.
  • Experience of successfully delivering an end-to-end project or equivalent complex finance systems.
  • Knowledge of full software development lifecycle (requirements, delivery, testing and release).
  • Leadership skills to structure, mentor and maintain a high performing team.
  • Ability to proactively influence and negotiate successfully with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Experience of managing internal & external stakeholders to provide information, drive decisions and resolve issues.
