Job Title: Management Accountant - ERP Implementation Specialist

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands, United Kingdom

Job Purpose:

As a Management Accountant - ERP Implementation Specialist, you will play a key role in the implementation of the NetSuite ERP software and post-implementation be a figurehead within the Group for the software. You will be responsible for the financial planning and analysis pillar of the finance department, developing and enhancing both the NetSuite product and the current reporting bundle to ensure timely presentation of monthly reports.

You will also assist with the month-end process, system upgrades, and be responsible for the data controls within NetSuite for the group of companies. You will be an integral part of the development, growth, and successful completion of the objectives of the Finance department.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Become a key partner in the development of the Group's financial planning and analysis, specifically looking at systems development, sales reporting, gross profit margin, stock management, purchases, rebates, and overhead analysis.
  2. Enhance the group budgeting and forecasting framework.
  3. Assist with the preparation of the consolidated management accounts for 12 companies.
  4. Provide variance analysis and commentary in support of the quarterly and monthly reports as directed.
  5. Identify new revenue opportunities or cost savings through variance analysis.
  6. Provide ad-hoc management reports as required.
  7. Be part of the ERP implementation team (Netsuite).
  8. Take responsibility of supplier rebate process.
  9. Challenge the posting accuracy of all transactions.
  10. Suggest and implement improvements in the current systems.
Person Specification:
  1. Must have extensive experience of using and ERP implementations, including the transfer of data and system set up, particularly around product set up.
  2. Minimum 5 years accounting experience in a busy, progressive, and tightly managed business, including monthly reporting, annual budget preparations, financial modelling.
  3. Extensive experience of computerised accounting systems (preferably Netsuite).
  4. Demonstrable experience of implementing new accounts systems.
  5. Highly proficient Microsoft Office user, particularly Excel.
Requirements:
  1. CIMA or ACCA qualified or studying towards qualification.
