Financial Systems Implementation Manager

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting, as well as experience with financial systems and process and software. The successful candidate will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of a new financial system for the company, ensuring strategic, effective, and efficient use of data and reporting to support the business strategy and deliver business benefits both financial and non-financial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of a new financial system for the company.
  • Develop and implement financial systems and processes to support business strategy and deliver business benefits.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of the new financial system with existing systems.
  • Manage and lead projects and people, influencing stakeholders and taking ownership of project delivery plans and key milestones.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure team members are equipped to deliver high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
  • Experience with financial systems and process and software, including design, build, functional testing, training, and implementation phases.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) or a strong PM background with a well-rounded understanding of financial management processes and systems.
  • Leadership skills to structure, mentor, and maintain a high-performing team.
  • Ability to proactively influence and negotiate successfully with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
