About this Opportunity

We're seeking a Behavioural Scientist to join our Data Science team, focusing on decision-making and behaviours to add customer value and resolve business problems.

As a Behavioural Scientist, you'll provide thought leadership and champion behavioural insights to help different business areas improve their understanding of our customers' activity and decision-making.

You'll design and test behaviourally-informed solutions to major challenges based on the bank's needs, transforming experiences and delivering tangible benefits to our customers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing thought leadership and championing behavioural insights to improve customer understanding
  • Designing and testing behaviourally-informed solutions to major challenges
  • Contributing to building reusable knowledge, processes, and methodologies within the Behavioural Science team
  • Presenting behavioural research and findings to support key business decision-makers
  • Partnering with academic collaborators to build the team's profile and demonstrate impact

We're looking for someone with practical experience applying Behavioural Science approaches in a commercial or government organisation, or a PhD qualified in a research discipline with an interest in applying their experience within a commercial setting.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Practical experience applying Behavioural Science approaches
  • Strong understanding of behavioural science literature
  • Proven experience applying behavioural insights and testing solutions
  • Ability to clearly explain behavioural science concepts
  • Strong knowledge of quantitative research methods and statistical techniques
