Compensation:
£24,962 Per Annum (Base salary £23,962 + £1,000 Unsociable Hours) - this position is also eligible for a one-time retention payment of £1000 upon successfully completing 9 months of service. **The quoted figure is a full-time equivalent value, which will be pro-rated for part-time staff – subject to qualifying eligibility of service and not being under notice at the qualifying date.

Working Hours:
The role involves 8 hours of work per day, with shift patterns and flexibility to be discussed during the interview. (The provision of the contract is between 08:00 and 22:00)
An enhanced DBS check will be required for this position.

Candidates must possess a full driving license and have access to a vehicle to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.

Nacro is a national Social Justice Charity with over 50 years of experience in transforming lives, strengthening communities, and collaborating with stakeholders to reduce crime.

Nacro administers the Community Accommodation Support service (CAS), a national initiative across England and Wales.

This service enables Courts to utilize bail more effectively by providing community accommodation with support for adult defendants who would otherwise be unable to secure bail.

CAS also offers assistance to adults released from Custody within the last three months of their sentence on Home Detention Curfew (HDC) and other Licence Orders.

The Team delivers flexible and comprehensive support to Residents with diverse support needs.

Our goal is to assist Residents in finding and maintaining stable housing at the conclusion of their CAS-2 placement.

Responsibilities include supporting clients to adhere to the requirements of their HDC/Bail conditions.

  • Develop a realistic and achievable Support Plan that includes accessing and utilizing housing and accommodation services to facilitate a transition to long-term housing.
  • Ensure that all Support Plans and Risk Assessments are individualized, inclusive, and centered around the person.
  • Provide weekly support to Residents to engage with their support plan and contribute to achieving their goals and aspirations.
  • Assist Residents in accessing Housing Benefit initially to prevent their tenancy from being jeopardized by accumulating rent arrears.
  • Manage properties within your designated area to ensure they meet Decent Homes Standard by reporting repairs and replacing furniture and equipment as necessary.
  • Plan and implement effective, person-centered Support and Safety Plans.
  • Conduct weekly support sessions (up to 2 hours per week) with Residents to help them achieve the objectives outlined in their individual Support and Move On Plans.
  • Support Housing Benefit applications for each Resident.
  • Complete referrals to specialized support agencies in the community as needed.
  • Collaborate with Partner Agencies such as The Probation and Prison Services, Courts, and Police when necessary.
  • Ability to create person-centered support and move on plans.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles.
  • Capability to work with vulnerable adults with complex needs (such as substance misuse, physical health, mental health, employment seeking, and housing support).
  • Flexibility to travel within your assigned area for training and team meetings and be adaptable to cover other local areas as required.
  • Proficiency with computer-based applications.

This role necessitates regular travel across an assigned area; therefore, a Full Driving License and access to your own vehicle are essential.

You will be eligible to claim mileage expenses from your base location at 45p for every mile traveled.
