About Greeen Plus

Greeen Plus is a leading provider of fresh cut flowers, and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Team Leader to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Nursery Team Leader to manage our nursery operations, oversee the growth and maintenance of our crops, and lead a team of technicians to ensure the highest quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the nursery, including crop spraying, watering, glasshouse preparation, and ground-working.
  • Lead a team of technicians to ensure the highest quality of our products and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve crop yields, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Monitor and control the use of equipment and resources to ensure optimal performance and minimize costs.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Good working knowledge of horticulture and nursery operations.
  • Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a similar industry.
  • Crop spraying certificates (PA1, PA3 & PA6) advantageous.
  • Hold a current forklift/PPT/POEP truck license advantageous.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
