The Role: Senior Residential Care Worker

As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of these children. You will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals to create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.

  • Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the team to advocate for the positive growth and development of each child, fostering a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.
  • Assist the Service Manager in ensuring the smooth daily operations of the residential care facility and maintaining high standards of care.
  • Lead a team of support workers in providing individualized therapeutic care tailored to the unique needs of each child.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, including event logs, progress reports, and care plans, ensuring accurate documentation of each child's journey.
  • Serve as a positive role model for both colleagues and children, demonstrating empathy, patience, and a commitment to their well-being.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 months of experience working in a child-centered, therapeutic environment.
  • Level 3 qualification in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Flexibility to work long day shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins as required.
  • Right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship not provided.

Preferred Requirements:

  • More than 2 years of experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
  • Additional qualifications in child care or therapeutic support are highly desirable.
