About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at Protea Care Children. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care and support to our young people, meeting their physical and emotional needs.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and therapists, to ensure holistic care and support.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a positive and supportive attitude, and providing guidance and supervision to junior staff.
  • Engage in recreational activities and educational programs to promote the children's development and well-being.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year's relevant professional experience working with young people in a residential setting.
  • A Level 4 Diploma in Children & Young People Practitioner (or equivalent) or be close to completing it.
  • A full clean manual driving licence held for at least 1 year.
