Senior Children's Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in Spalding, Lincolnshire. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the management team in the day-to-day running of the service, which provides care and support to young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

About the Role
  • Lead by example and support the management team to run the shift
  • Mentor and support newer staff members to develop their skills and confidence
  • Encourage young people to take responsibility for their own lives and participate in activities
  • Maintain a safe and homely environment for the young people
  • Deal with challenging behaviors in a safe and sympathetic manner
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
  • Provide support for the children and young people in the home and promote their independence and well-being
  • Maintain a safe environment for the young people
Requirements
  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 / Level 4 in Children and Young People is ESSENTIAL
  • 2 years experience in a residential children's home environment is ESSENTIAL
  • Full Driving Licence is ESSENTIAL as you may be required to transport the children from time to time
