Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Delivery Manager to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our Core Services Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of soft facilities management services, including cleaning contract specifications, energy and utility provisions, waste disposal, and security and access control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Policy Development: Collaborate with the Head of Operations to spearhead leadership, including the development of policies and procedures, in managing risks related to estate operations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to legal requirements concerning estate matters, including regulations on Construction Design and Management (CDM), fire safety, asbestos control, Legionella prevention, gas safety, electrical standards, Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER), Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV), manual handling, Display Screen Equipment (DSE), and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
  • Protocol Development and Staff Education: Establish a definitive protocol for routine verifications, assessments, and maintenance activities, including educating staff, hiring contractors, and conducting audits and performance reviews.
  • Soft Facilities Management: Oversee the delivery of soft facilities management services, with a focus on defining cleaning contract specifications, managing energy and utility provisions, overseeing waste disposal, and ensuring effective security and access control.
  • Incident Prevention and Response: Work in tandem with the Head of Operations to formulate procedures for incident and accident prevention, reporting, and examination, as well as for emergency preparedness, business continuity, and accessibility.
  • Technical Leadership: Assume the role of technical leader for all property-related concerns within the organisation, ensuring that their facilities are secure and conducive.
  • Supervision and Compliance: Supervise the Primary Estates Manager directly and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Capital Programme Administration: Administer the Capital Programme, which involves identifying, detailing, acquiring, and supervising projects across various locations.
