Job Description

Alfanar Projects is seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance Director to join our team in London. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for assisting the business with the implementation and ongoing management of operational and maintenance processes and procedures related to our UK projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Lead the development and implementation of operational excellence strategies to improve plant performance and efficiency.
  • Plant Management: Manage and rectify performance issues in collaboration with Plant Managers and Operations Managers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders, including the Environment Agency, HSE, and industry bodies, to ensure best practice is achieved on all sites.
  • Operational Budgeting: Develop and own O&M/OPEX budgets.
  • Reliability and Maintenance: Lead the development of Reliability, Availability, and Maintenance (RAM) strategies.
  • Integrated Management System: Assist the UK Country Manager with the creation and implementation of a new Integrated Management System (IMS).
Requirements
  • Engineering Degree: Hold an engineering degree.
  • Industry Experience: Possess 15+ years of experience in the petrochemical, oil & gas, or energy industries.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrate extensive previous leadership experience operating multiple complex process plants.
  • Legislative Knowledge: Have current knowledge of UK legislation relating to the operation of power/process plants.
  • Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate a background of identifying and implementing a methodology of continuous improvement in the workplace.
