Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement effective ward management strategies, ensuring the efficient use of resources and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Trust standards.
  • Support the Sister/Charge Nurse in the management of the ward, including the supervision of junior staff and the coordination of patient care.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience of managing a ward, including the management of rotas, competencies, resources, and staff.
  • Experience of teaching, assessing, and supervising others in a clinical setting.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current clinical and professional issues.
  • Good communication skills and ability to deal with sensitive information.
