Portfolio Analyst Job Description

Mason Blake is seeking a skilled Portfolio Analyst to join the Investment Treasury Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing currency exposures, excess cash, and optimizing collateral and margin.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and rebalance currency exposures across a wide range of portfolios in response to events such as cash flows, active trades, benchmark changes, and market price movements.
  2. Hedge portfolio currency risk and portfolio currency exposure risk.
  3. Manage FX trade orders, ensuring efficient execution.
  4. Oversight of cash flows and managing the rebalancing of portfolios in a timely and effective manner.
  5. Liaise with Investment Operations, Research, and Compliance teams to improve processes and minimize operational risks.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  1. 2-5 years' work experience in a similar role related to cash and FX management.
  2. Solid understanding of foreign exchange instruments and derivatives.
  3. Strong analytical skills.
  4. Advanced Excel with coding skills in Python or VBA beneficial.
  5. Excellent attention to detail.
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Keen interest in financial markets.
  8. Ability to work well under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
