Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EMEA Economist and Portfolio Strategist to join our team at Portfolio Verlag. As a key member of our portfolio management team, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis to inform our investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on macroeconomic trends and developments in the EMEA region, including inflation, growth, and balance of payments information.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of sovereign credit markets, including quasi-sovereigns and local government bond markets.
  • Collaborate with our portfolio management team to develop and implement investment strategies.
  • Conduct thorough scenario analysis, including stress testing, to inform investment decisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including portfolio managers, analysts, and account managers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years' experience in regional economics.
  • Masters or PhD in Economics or Finance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
