Job Description

Portfolio Payroll is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Assistant Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Payroll Processing: Oversee the end-to-end processing of client payrolls on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  2. New Client Onboarding: Develop and implement effective onboarding processes for new clients, ensuring seamless integration into the payroll system.
  3. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality results.
  4. Technical Support: Provide expert technical support and guidance to clients and internal stakeholders on complex payroll queries.
  5. Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize payroll processes and systems.
  6. Project Support: Collaborate with the Payroll Manager on project work, ensuring successful delivery and implementation of payroll solutions.
  7. Team Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team, providing opportunities for growth and professional development.
Requirements:
  1. Extensive Payroll Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in end-to-end payroll processing, with a strong understanding of payroll systems and regulations.
  2. Multi-Frequency Payroll Experience: Proven experience in processing multi-frequency clients' payroll or in-house multi-sited payroll with large volumes.
  3. Leadership Experience: Strong leadership and people management experience, with a track record of developing and managing high-performing teams.
  4. Payroll Software Experience: Familiarity with Paycircle or similar payroll software is desirable, but not essential.
  5. Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
