UK Payroll Manager Position

Job Summary:

The Portfolio Group is seeking an experienced UK Payroll Team Leader to join their team in London. This role will report directly to the Payroll Manager and will be responsible for the line management of one Payroll Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of UK payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely completion.
  • Support the International Payroll Manager in overseeing BAU operations and contribute to the development of payroll projects.
  • Oversee payroll reporting and balance reconciliations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare payroll journals and bonus accruals, maintaining accurate records and ensuring transparency.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners.
  • Maintain the timekeeping system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Supervise and develop the payroll assistant, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.

Requirements:

  • Experience in processing UK payrolls, with a strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Proven experience in a senior or supervisory payroll position, with a track record of success.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Payroll experience within a retail or hospitality environment is highly desirable.
