About the Role

This position is designed to provide support to our residents by supervising and guiding a team of dedicated Care Assistants. As a Senior Care Assistant at Barchester Healthcare, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and support. Your role will involve working closely with the Deputy General Manager to oversee the care team and support the clinical team in areas such as medication management, assessments, care plans, and care reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and inspire a team of Care Assistants to deliver exceptional care and support to residents.
  • Support the clinical team in areas such as medication management, assessments, care plans, and care reviews.
  • Work closely with the Deputy General Manager to oversee the care team and ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of residents.
  • Contribute to the creation of a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment that promotes resident dignity and well-being.

About You

  • You should have an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to be considered for this role.
  • You should have specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly.
  • You should be warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed to providing individualised care and support to residents.
  • You should be able to develop your career through ongoing training opportunities.
