Residential Property Legal Secretary

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Residential Property Legal Secretary to join our client's busy property department in Braintree. As a key member of the team, you will provide secretarial support to the property fee earner, ensuring the smooth operation of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the property fee earner, including screening incoming calls and dealing with new business opportunities.
- Audio typing using digital dictation and maintaining accurate records.
- Diary management, booking rooms, and arranging meetings with clients, solicitors, and other stakeholders.
- Liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders to ensure efficient processing of new business opportunities.
- Provide quotations, send client care letters, and deal with client queries.
- Amend and reformat documents, apply for searches using online services, and complete stamp duty land tax forms.
- Maintain client files, opening and closing files, and ensure the filing system is up-to-date.
- Assist fee earners in maintaining client accounts and provide guidance to junior and temporary secretaries when required.
Requirements
- Recent Residential or Commercial Property legal secretarial experience is essential.
- Fast and accurate audio typing skills, including digital dictation.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Able to prioritize and multitask, with excellent telephone manner.
- Possess the ability to deal with client queries when fee earners are out of the office.
