Our client, a reputable law firm, is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join their busy property department. The ideal candidate will have gained experience in Residential Conveyancing and be able to support the property fee earners in their daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the property fee earners in their daily tasks, including screening incoming calls and dealing with new business opportunities.
  • Manage the property department's diary, book rooms, and arrange meetings as needed.
  • Use case management systems to track and manage client cases.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders.
  • Prepare and send client care letters, quotations, and other relevant documents.
  • Deal with client queries and take instructions from clients in a professional and timely manner.
  • Amend and reformat documents as required.
  • Apply for searches using online services, including the Land Registry.
  • Use the HMRC website to complete Stamp Duty Land Tax forms.
  • Deal with post-completion matters, including maintaining client files and the filing system.
  • Assist fee earners in maintaining client accounts.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of recent experience in Residential Property.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with client queries independently.
