Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy property department at JS Legal Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our property fee earners, ensuring the smooth operation of our conveyancing services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the property fee earners in their daily tasks, including screening incoming calls and dealing with new business opportunities.
  • Manage diaries, book rooms, and arrange meetings to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Utilize case management systems to track and manage client cases.
  • Audio typing and document preparation, including formatting and amending documents as required.
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders to provide excellent customer service.
  • Prepare quotations, send client care letters, and respond to client queries in a timely manner.
  • Apply for searches using online services, including the Land Registry, and complete Stamp Duty Land Tax forms using the HMRC website.
  • Manage post-completion matters, including maintaining client files and the filing system.
  • Assist fee earners in maintaining client accounts and ensuring accurate financial records.

Requirements

  • 1 year of recent experience in Residential Property, preferably in a conveyancing role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent prioritization and multitasking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
