Food and Beverage Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a part-time Food and Beverage Assistant to join our professional team at Relais & Châteaux at Thornbury Castle. As a member of our team, you will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle, creating memorable experiences for our guests.

About Us

Thornbury Castle Hotel is a 15-acre estate located 20 minutes' drive from Bristol. Our hotel offers 26 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar, and two unique meeting and conference spaces. We operate 7 days a week, serving breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner, and Sunday lunch, as well as occasional weddings and functions.

We aim to deliver refined and personalized hospitality, making our hotel a place where guests can relax, enjoy themselves, and have a break from normal life. We strive to provide a unique experience, making our guests feel like royalty in a unique place with unique people.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet guests, take orders, and serve food and drinks.
  • Answer queries about the menu, including drinks, and make suggestions.
  • Take ownership of guests' requirements and food allergies.
  • Follow Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures.
  • Set up dining areas and process charges and payments.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and managers.
  • Handle guest queries and complaints with a calm and mature approach.
  • An additional share of service charge and tips every 2 months.
  • 28-day holiday, including bank holidays.
  • Additional paid day off on your birthday.
  • Complimentary stay at the castle after 3 months' probation period successfully passed.
