At Wavin UK, an Orbia business, we are seeking a highly skilled UK Planning & Scheduling Manager to join our team in Chippenham, United Kingdom. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for short and long-term factory planning and scheduling, ensuring optimized product availability and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Support weekly S&OE meetings for assigned production plants.
- Coordinate material planners and detailed schedulers for various supply scenarios execution.
- Adjust production plans based on weekly reviews of monthly progress and order book.
- Manage slow mover's stock management process for assigned production plants.
- Ensure proper control of SAP master data and maintain material process creation according to MDG guidelines.
- Execute plans for introducing new products and phasing out old products to ensure optimal availability and minimum obsolescence.
- React to changes in demand or supply to minimize obsolescence and inventory while maximizing customer service.
- Propose and drive improvements in raw materials and components purchase, as well as subcontracting.
- Continuously drive for optimizing working capital, costs, and service.
- Address all availability issues of Finish Goods within the team.
- Lead and implement projects for continuous improvement of factory planning performance.
- Ensure H&S standards adherence.
- Minimum A levels; Degree educated in a relevant business discipline (Logistics, MBA) is desirable.
- 3 years' experience in production and material planning in big-scale production.
- Good analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize, manage, and complete projects under a deadline.
- Tactical and Operational Planning knowledge and experience.
- Systems knowledge and experience of SAP R/3 (MM and PP), APO SNP.
- Knowledge and experience of Reporting & Analytics: SAP BW / BO, MS Office.
- Effective and pro-active communication to a wide audience, both 'up' and 'down'.
- Skilled influencer.
