Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our Dementia Wellbeing Community Team (DWCT) in Carmarthen. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with people living with dementia, their families, and carers to provide expert support and guidance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized speech and language therapy plans for people living with dementia.
- Collaborate with the DWCT team to provide comprehensive support and guidance to people living with dementia and their families.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify communication and eating needs.
- Provide training and education to healthcare professionals and carers on communication and eating strategies for people living with dementia.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the DWCT service, including service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- RCSLT membership.
- Experience working with people living with dementia and their families.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
