We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing expert care to individuals living with dementia and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to support individuals with complex communication needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Conduct assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to address communication and eating/drinking difficulties.
- Provide training and education to staff and families on communication strategies and techniques.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to dementia care and communication.
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- RCSLT membership and adherence to professional codes of conduct.
- Experience working with individuals with dementia and complex communication needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
