Role Overview

At Vodafone Global Cyber Security, we are dedicated to safeguarding our clients against the growing complexity of cyber threats. Our approach combines robust networks, advanced cloud solutions, and expert guidance to mitigate risks associated with a mobile workforce, ensuring both security and productivity.

As a Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our Cyber Security operations. Your mission will be to minimize Vodafone's exposure to cyber risks by gathering, analyzing, and distributing cyber intelligence to proactively counter threats. You will be integral to Vodafone's Global Cyber Defence organization, specifically within the Cyber Defence Threat Unit (CTU).

The CTU is tasked with protecting Vodafone and its clientele from cyber threats by delivering actionable intelligence that aids in the prevention, detection, and disruption of malicious cyber activities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and supporting cyber security intelligence triage and delivering assessments and recommendations to stakeholders across various levels.
  • Overseeing the collection, analysis, and timely dissemination of intelligence to relevant parties, contributing to Vodafone's understanding of the cyber threat landscape.
  • Conducting research on threats, Indicators of Compromise (IoCs), and threat actor tactics to bolster Threat Hunting and Signature Development efforts.
  • Establishing and nurturing technical intelligence sharing partnerships with credible external entities and collaborating with Vodafone's operating companies.
  • Providing cyber intelligence support during ongoing incidents and collaborating with Incident Response teams as necessary.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A proven history of working within a cyber threat intelligence team, effectively defending large organizations against sophisticated threat actors.
  • Experience in analyzing threat intelligence trends and providing management with relevant data to support Key Performance Indicator (KPI) assessments.
  • The ability to mentor less experienced colleagues, fostering their professional development.
  • Strong skills in generating clear, evidence-based reports and presentations for a range of stakeholders, from technical analysts to senior management.
