In this role you will be the Strategic Insight Director for the Global RSV Vaccine. You will be reporting to the Head of Global Vaccines Strategic Insights and work closely with the RSV Commercial Leader (VCL) and other key stakeholders.

The primary responsibilities of this role are to a) define and drive the development of appropriate market insights plans and projects (aligned to key business imperatives), b) be accountable for and own the development of short and long-range global forecasts, including inputs and content for key governance committees, as well as c) develop the measurement / feedback strategy for launch markets (e.g., KPIs / Dashboards).

More specifically, you will provide perspectives to the VCL and other key stakeholders across a broad range of areas including analyses of market drivers, vaccination trends, HCP and Consumer attitudes, behaviors, segmentation and customer journeys, for example. You will integrate assumptions with the Competitive Intelligence group to align on mid/long term competitive activities and appropriately inform the development of LCM strategies. You will ensure robust evidence is available for key decision points in the brand's life cycle and provide clear, insightful interpretation of available internal and external data to senior internal stakeholders. You will lead market insights and develop forecasts in partnership with key global markets and global teams.

In addition, you will define and direct the activities of others (e.g., market research agencies, third-party data analysis partners, as well as on-shore / off-shore contractors, as needed).

Finally, you will need to be comfortable with and appropriately be able to manage uncertainty and ambiguity in a fast-paced, collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Describe the key deliverables to be achieved by the post holder and the ongoing responsibilities of the role

Partner - Act as Strategic Partner to the VCL on all relevant areas of Insight and Analytics outlined above, including contributing objective, independent thinking

Insights - Lead primary and secondary research to generate key market insights

Data - Lead the synthesis of relevant internal and external data to ensure the global brand strategy and its implementation is underpinned by data, evidence and insight. Enable and support data driven decision-making culture

Forecasts - Own robust, evidence-based sales forecasts and build story for key governance forums

I&A Strategy - Own the roadmap for analytics and insights strategy aligned to brand imperatives, including internal and external data sets, as well as generation of primary research

Performance - Define and develop brand / market relevant performance tracking frameworks. Synthesize relevant and disparate data sources to better understand performance (e.g., sales, ATU, market share, message recall, social, global to local KPI's, etc.). Develop clear summaries for senior management reviews

Customer Journeys - Develop journey capabilities and workshops. Inform/develop strategies to address challenges and opportunities with commercial and medical teams

Customer Experience - Lead thinking on HCP/Consumer analytics, including key customer experience measures/benchmarks

Targeting and segmentation - Own T&S at global level and ensure latest techniques are utilized to support the vaccine and that links are made with other brands where segmentation is relevant

Content testing - Define frameworks for testing of content utilizing agile methods, as appropriate

Advanced Analytics - Understand and evaluate the utility of advanced analytics vis-a-vis global brand imperatives and support deployment of value creating methods

Team -Structure, define and lead the activities of the broader team supporting commercial analytics. Lead and coach team members to high, focused performance

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical (medical or marketing background), management consultancy or financial institution
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading primary market research projects, commercial analytics and /or long-range brand forecasting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Thorough conceptual understanding of the drug development and commercialization process
  • Experienced in a global matrix environment with ability to drive impact across a range of functions, seniority, and geographical locations
  • Ability to lead and take ownership of the delivery of projects from end to end
  • Experience working with individuals in multiple countries, including working with them to obtain appropriate country-level information and insight
