Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and utilize tailored 1:1 resources.
  • Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) students.
  • Collaborate with classroom educators and teaching assistants to plan suitable activities.
  • Coordinate with other professionals, including teachers and specialist support staff.
  • Work closely with fellow Learning Support Assistants and support personnel.
  • Engage with students in classes, small groups, and on an individual basis.
  • Prepare and enhance classroom displays.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to the child's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
  • Create a supportive environment conducive to learning.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience working one-on-one or in small groups with children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Background in working with young individuals.
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to connect and build rapport with young people.
  • Creative, proactive, and flexible approach to support.
  • Teaching Assistant qualification Level 2/3.
