Join our vibrant and multidisciplinary Water Engineering team as a Principal Civil Engineer in our expanding Belfast office. Your Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight: Direct the execution of intricate tasks and projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and technical standards. Supervise the technical delivery across multiple projects, evaluating outputs to guarantee timely and precise results.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide specialized knowledge and guidance to the design team throughout all phases, including feasibility assessments, preliminary designs, detailed engineering, and technical specifications preparation.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations, offering technical expertise for interdisciplinary analytical evaluations.
  • Client Collaboration: Engage closely with clients to define project scope, develop pricing proposals, and communicate progress effectively. Work alongside Project Managers and Lead Design Engineers to address challenges and deliver value to the communities we serve.
  • Team Development: Mentor junior team members and take on line management responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Are you ready to redefine possibilities?

We are seeking candidates with:
  • Extensive experience in the water sector at a Principal level, preferably within the UK&I, with a solid understanding of UK&I standards.
  • Proficiency in designing and managing the technical delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from feasibility through to construction support.
  • Chartered or Incorporated status with a relevant institution (e.g., ICE, CIWEM) or actively pursuing it.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
