As a Principal Civil Engineer in our expanding Belfast office, you will be part of our multidisciplinary Water Engineering team. Your expertise in Civil Engineering will be vital in leading the design and delivery of essential water and wastewater upgrades and new facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee the execution of complex projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and technical standards. Lead the technical delivery across multiple initiatives, reviewing outputs to guarantee timely and precise results.
- Technical Guidance: Provide specialized knowledge to the design team throughout all project phases, including feasibility assessments, preliminary designs, detailed engineering, and technical specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, offering technical expertise for interdisciplinary studies.
- Client Collaboration: Engage with clients to define project scope, prepare proposals, and communicate progress. Work alongside Project Managers and Lead Design Engineers to address challenges and deliver community benefits.
- Team Development: Mentor junior team members and take on line management responsibilities.

Qualifications:
Are You Ready to Challenge the Norms?
We are looking for candidates with:
- Extensive experience in the water sector at a Principal level, preferably within the UK&I or familiarity with UK&I standards.
- Proven experience in designing and managing the technical delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from feasibility to construction.
- Chartered or Incorporated status with a relevant institution, or actively pursuing it.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
