Are you eager to join a skilled team of engineers and influence the future of water management?

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to become a vital part of our multidisciplinary Water Engineering team, located in our Belfast office, while benefiting from our flexible hybrid working arrangements. At AECOM, we lead the way in innovation, managing a diverse portfolio of water-related projects through long-term partnerships with key industry players.

In this role, you will collaborate with project managers and lead design engineers to navigate the project lifecycle, contributing to various design phases of water and wastewater utility initiatives. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting feasibility assessments, creating reference designs, developing detailed designs, and preparing comprehensive reports and technical specifications. This role presents a unique opportunity to engage with a talented and diverse team focused on innovation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Development: Create AutoCAD design packages for upgrades to wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations throughout the design and construction phases. Conduct feasibility studies that include both financial and non-financial analyses.
  • Project Support: Assist in managing FIDIC / NEC contracts and oversee financial project management, including regular invoicing and change control processes.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and validate flow and load calculations, technical reports, drawings, and models to ensure adherence to relevant standards and specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across various disciplines, including process, mechanical, environmental, geotechnical, and structural engineering teams.
