Are you prepared to contribute to a team of skilled engineers and influence the future of water management?

We are looking for a Civil Engineer to join our vibrant Water Engineering division in a flexible work environment. AECOM is at the leading edge of innovation, delivering a comprehensive array of water-related projects through long-term partnerships with key industry players.

In this role, you will collaborate with project managers and lead design engineers to navigate the project lifecycle, supporting various phases of water and wastewater utility initiatives. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting feasibility assessments, developing reference designs, executing detailed designs, and preparing comprehensive reports and technical specifications. This position presents a unique opportunity to be part of a talented and diverse team focused on innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Development: Create AutoCAD design packages for upgrades to wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the design and construction phases. Produce feasibility studies that include both financial and non-financial evaluations.
  • Project Support: Assist in managing contracts and oversee financial aspects of projects, including regular invoicing and change management.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and validate calculations, technical reports, drawings, and models to ensure adherence to relevant standards and specifications.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other AECOM professionals across various disciplines, including process, mechanical, environmental, geotechnical, and structural engineering.

As part of our dynamic Water business, you will work alongside approximately 670 experts across the UK & Ireland, collaborating with a diverse team of civil, mechanical, electrical, and process engineers on a wide range of projects, from small-scale initiatives to large-scale developments.

  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes.
  • Experience in the design and management of wastewater infrastructure projects.
