Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic MRI Radiographer to join our dynamic Imaging Department team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wishes to enhance their skills in a busy department. The ideal candidate will be a good communicator and team player, capable of working under pressure. Ideally, you will have at least 2 years of experience in MRI and be looking to further develop your MR imaging skills.

Main Duties of the Job

The post-holder will participate in the effective running of the MRI service under the direction of senior staff, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care. This will involve ensuring the MRI service is maintained with training of staff to perform in accordance with Trust policies, including comprehensive competency assessments. In liaison with senior radiographers, the post-holder will provide supervision of junior staff, students, and assistant practitioners.

Our Imaging Department is one of the busiest in London, with seven CT scanners and a large ultrasound department. We have a dedicated Interventional Theatre Suite and seven MRI scanners across BHRUT. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and is passionate about providing a safe and efficient service.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Current HCPC registration
  • Hold a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • Proven post-qualification experience in MRI
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
