Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MRI Radiographer to join our dynamic team at the Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to enhance their skills in a busy department and contribute to the provision of a safe, efficient, and high-quality service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the effective running of the MRI service, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining high standards of patient care amongst peers, students, colleagues, and users of imaging services.

Main Duties of the Job

The post-holder will participate in the effective running of the MRI service under the direction of senior staff, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care. This will include ensuring the MRI service is maintained with training of staff to perform in accordance with Trust policies, including comprehensive competency assessments.

The post-holder will also provide supervision of junior staff, students, and assistant practitioners in liaison with senior radiographers.

Person Specification

Education/Qualifications

  • Current HCPC Registered
  • Hold BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, College of Radiographers Diploma or equivalent

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of working within an NHS organisation
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
  • SoR accredited IV Certificate

Skills/Abilities

Essential Criteria

  • Communication and Interpersonal skills

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience working on this level

Experience/Knowledge

Essential Criteria

  • Proven post-qualification experience in MRI is essential.
