Product Delivery

  • Oversee a suite of products designed to empower application managers in making informed decisions, supported by significant projects.
  • Collaborate closely with essential business stakeholders to identify, shape, and spearhead critical engineering initiatives, initially centered on application performance, and translate these into a well-defined product backlog.
  • Accountable for the creation, assessment, and enhancement of User Stories, ensuring they adhere to a Definition of Readiness (DOR), and serve as the daily representative of this value.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations to guarantee that desired outcomes are achieved, necessary decisions are made, and risks are effectively mitigated.
  • Communicate transparently across IT, including conducting product showcases, sharing interactive updates, and inviting contributions from the entire IT organization to shape potential opportunities.
  • Maintain a product roadmap for application offerings, providing clear guidance on future features, technologies, and prospects.
  • Facilitate regular product demonstrations to gather feedback, acknowledge accomplishments, and foster a culture of positive momentum.
  • Establish strong partnerships with key stakeholders across business sectors, product management, and IT, leveraging these relationships to influence and align on high-value priorities.
  • Ensure that value is quantified and effectively communicated to highlight the success of the team's efforts.

Community Engagement

  • Act as an ambassador for agile culture, collaborating across engineering to promote an open, cooperative, and innovative team environment.
  • Engage proactively with the IT community (both internally and externally) through various channels, aiming to share knowledge, represent the organization, educate, and inspire.
  • Participate in the agile community, serving as a mentor alongside other Product Owners, Managers, and teams to enhance our delivery practices.
  • Support and promote a collaborative, open, and agile working culture across teams.
  • Continuously build knowledge of emerging delivery, product development, and agile methodologies.
  • Encourage an innovation-driven culture with 'Show, don't tell' as a guiding principle in all our endeavors.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a Product Owner/Manager role or a similar capacity.
  • Hands-on experience working within an agile delivery team.
  • Background in IT development programs or engineering/cloud environments is a plus.
  • Proficient in eliciting and translating needs into actionable user stories, with the ability to prioritize and manage a product backlog effectively.
  • Skilled at simplifying complex technical challenges into easily understandable explanations for non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred certification as a product owner (CSPO) or equivalent.
  • Experience in a regulated, multi-agency, and international context is advantageous.
  • A collaborative team player capable of fostering high-performing, ownership-driven teams in a dynamic setting.

Additional Information: A hybrid work model is in place, requiring some in-office presence.
