Transforming Data at Elanco
Elanco is revolutionizing its data landscape to become more data-driven than ever before. As a key player in this transformation, the Data Engineering and Platforms organization is seeking a skilled Data Platforms Product Owner to lead the Consumption and Enterprise Data Products technology portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for delivering and enhancing products and services in the Consumption portfolio, including Power BI and critical enterprise datasets.
- Develop and share roadmaps, engage in business planning, and partner with stakeholders to understand unmet needs.
- Manage the portfolio backlog, prioritizing and making tough decisions.
- Evangelize portfolio capabilities, products, and services through engagement activities, demos, and showcases.
- Serve as a key technical point of contact.
- Maintain relationships with vendors to understand their capabilities and escalate issues.
- Evaluate solutions to drive metrics for adoption, performance, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with support teams to establish operational processes.
- Analyze and communicate portfolio costs.
- Engage in communities to share and educate.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technology capabilities and trends.
- Serve as a point of escalation for significant issues.
- Ensure portfolio products and services are qualified and validated.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in technology service, project, and product leadership.
- Experience delivering enterprise technology solutions.
- Experience working with public cloud services, especially Azure and Google.
- Experience with data tools, technologies, and platforms.
- Demonstrable learning agility for new technologies.
- Experience defining and executing large-scale strategic plans.
- Ability to prioritize and drive learning and progress.
- Emotional intelligence, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong personal accountability and organization.
- Comfort driving decisions and acting despite ambiguity.
