Deputy Store Manager Job Description

Lidl is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Deputy Store Manager to join our team. As a Deputy Store Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of retail professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager, taking ownership of the store and leading by example to support colleagues.
  • Lead and inspire the team to fulfill their potential every day, using our Leadership & Company Principles.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring the store meets its targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ensure the store is maintained to a high standard, adhering to health and safety laws, standards, and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Experience leading and developing a team in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to help colleagues and customers in a friendly and open way.
  • A knack for time management, delegation, and problem-solving.
  • The confidence to support the team through every shift.
  • A pride in providing unmatched customer service for everyone who shops with us.
