HUC is seeking a skilled and compassionate NHS 111 Call Handler to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth delivery of our urgent care services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective and safe call handling services to patients, their representatives, and healthcare professionals.
  • Represent HUC in a professional and courteous manner, adhering to agreed protocols.
  • Prioritize patient needs and direct them to the most appropriate service, using decision support software and NHS Pathways.
  • Liaise with other agencies and healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Identify and report any issues impacting service delivery to the Manager on duty.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance patient care and share knowledge and skills.
  • Utilize resources to facilitate access to services for patients with communication barriers.
